Feldman and the Irish poet and playwright Samuel Beckett – an extraordinary meeting
of two brilliant excentrics who, at the same time, were kindred spirits. Becketts libretto
contains just 87 words, dealing with the impenetrable mystery of the human existence, the
restless as well as hopeless search for sense and self, the impossibility of salvation. A
